grandes truchas capturadas en Río Menendez

El río Menéndez es un clásico río “Truchero” típico de la Patagonia.

Desde su naciente en el lago Deseado , hasta su desembocadura en la zona media del Río Grande,  recorre mas de 100 Kms de valles.

El sector que abarca sus últimos 30 kms hasta dicha desembocadura , está considerado , sin discusión alguna , como la  mejor zona pesquera de todo su cauce.

Corre lentamente a través de “Estancia Despedida” a lo largo de un fantástico valle , rodeado de clásicos cerros patagónicos donde uno comparte el entorno con  guanacos , zorros , halcones , gansos salvajes , cóndores y por supuesto sus extraordinarias truchas Marrones.

Sus características de río “joven” ofrecen al pescador un sinnúmero de serpenteantes curvas  para la pesca de estas Anádromas !

Su parte más ancha no sobre pasa los 20 ms manteniendo un promedio de 10ms.

Otra de sus excelentes características para ejercer el “Fly-Casting” es la de no presentar obstáculo alguno que interfiera en el “back-cast” , ya que no existen arbustos ni árboles en sus orillas.

Sus aguas son verdosas y transparentes con excelente visibilidad durante los meses de Enero y Febrero y cristalinas durante la mayor parte de los meses de Marzo y Abril

            Puede decirse sin temor a exagerar  que cada una de sus “correderas” y “pozones” , ofrecen la posibilidad de capturar un trofeo.

Entre los “pozones” más famosos y productivos podemos nombrar algunos como “El Barranco Negro” – “El Anfiteatro” – “La Curva de Chacra” – “Los Mejicanos” – “El Poza de Palo” – “La Pecera” – “My Pool” … etc.

Sería imposible nombrarlos a todos ya que podemos contar más de 40 de los mismos!!

Estancia Arroyo Verde is a family owned and managed fly fishing lodge on the world renowned river Traful and one of the first to open its doors to anglers from around the world. Laying within the Nahuel Huapi National Park in northern Patagonia it’s just an hour and a half from the local airport, San Carlos de Bariloche.

Nestling in the Traful valley, Estancia Arroyo Verde, has for more than 20 years played host to discerning anglers of all ages and abilities and to those seeking adventure in comfort.

ACCOMODATIONS

Overlooking the valley the traditional wood and stone built houses are set in beautifully landscaped gardens with mature trees, shrubs and colourful borders. - No menos de 6 días y sus noches ( no me pregunte porqué, pida que le armen el programa, pero si su estadía es menor, se quedará con hambre …)

- Trate de estar al menos un fin de semana completo y hacerse una escapada a un establecimiento de campo en los alrededores ( hay varios y muy buenos alrededor de 100 kms en las afueras de la ciudad ). Si le gusta el Polo, pida un Polo Day

- Los taxistas no son guías de turismo ni conocedores de la gastronomía, no los convierta en sus asesores acerca de dónde ir ni  cuál es el mejor restaurante para conocer. Hay buenos guías online….y consulte al diario La Nación

- Hay buenos Byke Tours, para los que están en forma. puede recorrer puntos interesantes pero siempre con un guía..no se atreva sólo a las calles de Buenos Aires.

- Busque un lindo café en la zona que más le guste y disfrute quedandose al solcito unas cuantas horas..viene el verano y ver el atardecer en una mesa en una calle porteña es buenísimo

. Tome vino..pruebe..cambie… coma mucha carne..de vaca….busque restaurantes de comida porteña y bodegones auténticos y viejos ( los encuentra en Google )

- A mí me gusta: pasear por el distrito de Tigre, su Puerto de frutos, paseos por sus islas y el Museo de Arte..espectacular… Villa Ocampo en San Isidro, el Museo de Arte Latinoamericano ( MALBA ),   la Pizza de El Cuartito,  los desayunos en El Tortoni, cualquier plato y todos los vinos de OVIEDO,  la pizza de Grappa y los paseos por Palermo Soho, comprar platería en el pueblo de San Antonio de Areco,  y shopping  en Galerías Pacífico….y tomar sol en alguna mesita de La Biela.
